Jon specializes in helping property owners navigate the many aspects of maintaining real estate. In his early interactions with fellow real estate owners and working professionals, he discovered many did not have a “go-to” person for property management and maintenance. Birkdale was created for companies and professionals who don’t have a dedicated maintenance team.

Jon was born and raised in Holland, working for the family landscaping and snow removal company. After graduation from Grand Valley State University, Jon began a commercial banking career in the Grand Rapids area before moving to Charlotte, NC. In Charlotte Jon worked for Regions Bank on large commercial real estate transactions and construction lending. At that time a passion was found for real estate investment.
Jon moved back home to be closer to family and began investing in real estate in the local area. As time went on, Jon and his brother, Brandon, discovered many other real estate owners. A diverse crowd, whether investors or working professionals, did not have a "go-to" person for the many variables that come with property ownership. Birkdale was created to solve this similar problem seen over and over again. Jon thoroughly enjoys managing his own properties, and brings that same mentality to the clients that entrust Birkdale with their property.
Jon and his wife Leslie love to travel with family, snowmobile, golf (more Jon than Leslie), and spend time boating or at the beach. When not working or traveling they both enjoy spending time with extended family and seeing their nieces and nephews.
